IT Network Analyst

This position closes at 3:00 p.m. on Nov 7th, 2013.

This is a 12 month Contract opportunity with a possibility of an extension.

We are currently looking to hire an IT Network Analyst role with practical experience designing and deploying Cisco-based Quality of Service across a large enterprise network.

This person will:
• Evaluate and implement of Quality of Service (QoS) to support network applications on a Cisco-based corporate MAN and WAN.
• Day-to-day support of network operations for Calgary campus network, data centres, and field sites
• Documentation of current and new data network implementations

• 10+ years technical hands-on/operational IT enterprise network experience
• 3+ years hands on experience in design, deployment, and support of Cisco-based QoS across a large enterprise network
• Experience designing, configuring, and supporting Cisco-based QoS for voice, video, and other applications over IP on data networks
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts
• Strong understanding of hierarchical network design
• Experience with routing protocols, EIGRP/BGP
• Experience with Cisco campus and data centre class network Switches and Routers
• Able to troubleshoot complex technical problems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Motivated and eager to take on new tasks
• It would be very beneficial to offer security skills; understanding of NAC (Network Access Control); familiarity with Solarwinds Orion Network Performance Monitor; familiarity with NetScout Infinistream and nGenius Performance Manager appliances
