Description
Senior Oracle Designer/Developer (Oracle 11g) with mathematical (algorithmic) background needed for the analysis, design, implementation, test, and L3 support of several Credit Risk applications (so-called monitoring systems, calculators and others) within the Credit Risk IT organisation of an investment bank in Switzerland.
As a member of the "Marts/Methodology Technology" team you provide database services and components (Oracle) to several credit risk applications such as ZEUS (credit risk platform) and NHCE (Lending value calculation, security shock calculation).
Role Description:
As an Oracle designer/developer you are responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, test and 3rd level support of applications in the area of Credit Risk IT. The applications are based on the newest technologies in the areas of J2EE, Oracle and UNIX (Sun Solaris).
Work experience required:
- University degree or longer professional experience (3-5 years)
- Experience in logical and physical Datamodelling
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
- Very good analytical and design skills and the ability to grasp complex business or technical issues in a structured and efficient manner
- Good experience with Tools such as Toad and Power Designer
- Skilled in tuning, debugging and troubleshooting of PL/SQL
- Experience as DBA would be advantageous
- Knowledge of UNIX (Solaris)
- Knowledge of Job Control systems (JCS) is an advantage
- Good knowledge of both written and spoken English and German
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Experience in the area of credit risk management of advantage
