QA/Database Engineer in Test - RDBMS, Oracle, SQL Server - San Francisco - contract or permanent
An outstanding new opportunity to join a real industry leader in a key QA/Test position. This role offers a salary of up to $130,000 + Benefits or a contract rate of $50 - $75 per hour. This is a permanent or long term role so applicants can expect extensions or the opportunity to convert to permanent from contract.
This employer supply technology, services and data which is used by billions of consumers worldwide, they are the market leader by a significant margin in their field and they are continuing to bring on board new clients and revenue streams.
Due to this growth in work load they are now looking to recruit and experienced database test engineer to assist in the testing of a number of their database solutions and reference platforms. Applicants must have commercial/professional QA/quality assurance/software testing experience with specific experience of developing and/or testing RDBMS solutions based on either Oracle or SQL Server. Applicants must possess considerable experience of deep database testing.
Applicants must have commercial/professional database development and/or QA/quality assurance/software testing experience with specific experience of testing RDBMS solutions based on either Oracle 11g (pref.) or SQL Server. Applicants should also have strong SQL and PL/SQL programming and debugging skills as well as experience with Scripting languages such as Perl or Ruby along with experience of XML, XSLT, and automated test tools. Specific experience of testing within a metadata setting would be a distinct advantage.
