IT Server Architect
Job description
The role will be based on defining High level designs, roadmaps and the implementation of new infrastructure.
In this role the IT server architect is closely working together with both IT and business stakeholders.
- Participate in projects, being responsible for High and Low Level Designs.
- Ensuring compliance of architecture principles, policies and standards.
- Bringing up any exceptions during project (realization ) and advice on how to handle best
- Evaluating future technologies against business requirements, strategies and map them to IT capabilities
Core competences required
Ability to drive technology direction, evaluate performance of solutions and identify new technologies.
A strong background with Unix, Linux, or other systems engineering certification
- Experience with TOGAF/Sabsa
A strong background in several of the following at an architectural level:
- Server (Windows server, Unix, Linux)
- Middleware and databases (SQL, Oracle, Apache, tomcat, ..)
- Storage
- Networking
- Desktop virtualization (VMWare, Citrix)
- Device management experience (SCCM)
- Server security
- Business continuity (Clustering, Load balancing, failover)
