Description
The Storage System Engineer (SE) acts as account SME for complex Storage and Backup environments.
This role includes a wide-variety of activities, starting from initial setup and installation to Level 4 support. Next to this, the account SME acts as a focal architect towards the customer.
Required skills:
1. Technical skills Expert in Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM)
o Vast experience in configuring and maintaining TSM Servers in an Enterprise environment
Advanced skills in IBM's Enterprise Storage Subsystems
o Experience with setting up and configuring DS8000, DS6000, DS and SAN Volume Controller (SVC)
o Good knowledge in LUN assignments, LUN mapping and masking SAN expert (Brocade 48000, DCX) o experience with multi site resilient SAN fabrics in an Enterprise environment, preferably with Brocade products
o good knowledge about SAN design principles
Experience in program languages: Kornshell, Perl, Bash, Knowledge about AIX (network, LVM skills,...)
