Description
Financial Analyst with excellent organisational and communication skills to join the Performance and Investment Analytics (PIA) team within an investment bank. The PIA provide financial reporting and analysis to The Corporate Center (CC) senior decision making bodies, and drives the CC's 3 year strategic planning process.
The CC supports UBS business divisions and regions through provision of Group-level logistics and control functions such as Group Technology, Real Estate, Group Operations Human Resources, Finance, Legal & Compliance and Risk amongst others.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Prepare and otherwise provide support on presentations and reports for senior management committees (monthly reports for the CC Executive Committee & GEB)
- Perform ad-hoc analyses for senior management (eg cost and headcount development, fixed vs. variable cost, corporate centre performance analysis and review)
- Contribute to the annual 3 year strategic planning process Independently drive P&L analyses with focus on cost management
- Involvement in the rolling forecast process and challenge business partners on the underlying assumptions and activities
- Work collaboratively with team members on the monthly financial reporting process and other ad hoc tasks

Requirements
- University degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting
- Working experience in finance/controlling Strong, independent personality with a can-do attitude
- Experience in writing financial commentaries, management reporting a plus
- Enthusiasm and a high level of self motivation to overcome obstacles and a positive approach in the face of difficulty
- Able to work under pressure and comfortable with standing his/her ground
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to have an impact at senior management level
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
- Fluent in English
