Randstad IT Professionals is actively looking for a Senior Software Developer for one of our major clients in the banking environment.
Senior Software Developer required to work on the re-architection of the front to back order management and execution platform for mutual funds and hedge funds.
The successful candidate will be working on a new project aiming to re-architect an existing Java & Oracle based fund execution system. Aim is to further improve STP rates by refactoring the order management and execution Back End, provide a completely new user interface fully tailored to the needs of the execution desk, integrate with various up- and down- stream systems and provide efficient document management capabilities.
TECHNICAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATION
- Depth understanding of OO principles
- Min. 5 years experience as a Java developer
- Commercial experience in C# is a big plus
- Strong knowledge of web services
- Experience of using Design Patterns
- Experience of developing software for a large Enterprise, including n-tier development
- Strong RDBMS experience required (eg SQL Server/Oracle)
- Experience of the full project life cycle
- Understanding and exposure to Test Driven Development
- Experience of Agile practices and processes (eg SCRUM)
SOFT SKILLS
- Excellent written and spoken English, German is an asset
- A team-first attitude
- Ability to work from minimal requirements
