Support Analyst - PythonGlobal Hedge Fund is looking to hire a Trading Systems Support Analyst within the technology side of the business. They are looking for someone specifically with strong Python experience, and a development background
The support analyst will act as the point person for the Equity Business PNL systems (in-house and vendor) as well as assisting with general trade support for traders. The role will be focused around understanding how front office PNL systems work, providing the associated level 1 and level 2 support and escalating to the relevant technical teams as necessary. There will also be involvement in supporting and enhancing the firms execution and order routing systems (broker, vendor and proprietary) covering mainly equities (global) but also futures, FX and fixed income. There will also be ongoing automation and scripting/programming to improve systems. Previous python OOP experience is mandatory
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the traders to quickly and effectively deal with their issues
- Liaising directly with third party vendors and brokers on issues and outages.
- Assisting in the ongoing support, testing of enhancements and participation in production rollouts of existing platforms.
- Being an active part of the development lifecycle for internal applications by assisting in application feedback, requirement gathering, UAT testing and production rollouts.
- Becoming the teams Subject Matter Expert on the internal intra-day PNL system and associated back-office PNL/Risk/Booking System (Imagine).
