PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with senior management to identify best practices for utilizing patient financial systems and ensure that these processes are in line with the organizations strategic direction

Ensure application security is being maintained and monitored, data integrity of the application is performed and system upgrades/testing are done regularly

Develop financial reports and queries that can be used for year-end reporting, audits, and on-going process improvements

Ensure functional specifications are aligned with the organizations structure and with the accounting system functionality

Manage operational processes and procedures in relation to system configuration and usage

Ensure financial reporting is done regularly and sent to all appropriate parties

Develop and maintain patient resolution processes and ensure service level agreements are adhered to

Ensure there is a solid knowledge of third party payer requirements and payment patterns

Interpret contracts and incorporate into accounting system specifications

Management of the Patient Financials Systems human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.

Supports the Financial Department Managers in identifying and prioritizing opportunities in order to meet the program's deliverables and goals

Promotes positive patient relations by communicating in a manner that demonstrates respect for the human dignity of patients and/or their families

Maintain compliance with various state, federal and industry guidelines and regulations

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

A Baccalaureate Degree in Health, Computer and or a Business related field from an accredited college or equivalent combination of project management and IT skills and experience (in depth knowledge of IT a strong plus)

Master's Degree is preferred

Experience working in a hospital setting/healthcare organization is highly preferred

Information Technology knowledge is preferred

Minimum of 5 years' demonstrated ability to lead complex implementation projects involving cross-department and division teams

5+ years Patient Financials implementation experience or equivalent combination of Patient Financials and other Patient Financials experience (experience in Epic, Soarian, Eagle, Unity application preferred)

Proven use of standard project management methodology and tools required.

Operational experience in one or more of the following areas:
-Admitting
-Health Information Management
-Long Term Care
-Revenue Cycle/ADT

Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation delivery

Strong negotiation, interpersonal and demonstrated communication skills for working with team members and individuals at all levels of the organization

Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to encourage collaboration and motivate team members

Organize resources within a team and appropriately match team member skills to team responsibilities

Must possess the ability to understand the integration of applications and their impact on business process and operations.

Ability to establish deadlines and drive team members to adhere to them

Change Management experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Visio and SharePoint (or equivalent) a plus
