Description
An investment bank in Chicago is actively seeking a Senior C++/Java Developer to join a front office team of Quantitative Analysts and Traders. This role is ideal for a candidate who is looking use hands on development skills to assist with complex trading algorithms and risk models. This is a full time position located in downtown Chicago.The team is working with complex and revenue generating applications, the software engineer will be responsible for:
- Development of multi-threaded applications in a C++ and Java environment
- Oversight of high priority, business critical applications from beginning to end
- Daily interaction with Quantitative Analysts and Traders regarding the discussion of risk and trading strategy
- Assist in the modeling of credit and counterparty risk strategies
Requirements call for:
- 5+ years of hands on Java Experience
- 5+ years of hands on C++ Experience
- Demonstrated understanding of Risk
- Previous leadership and managerial skills is a plus
