On behalf of our client, one of the most established financial institutions worldwide, Swisslinx are looking for a very strong C# .NET Developer either strong Silverlight OR WPF skills to work on the integration of a FX Sales Engine.
This is a six month contract with a strong chance of extension based in Zurich, Switzerland.
C# .NET Developer for FX Sales Platform, Banking, English (Contract, Zurich)
In this role you will work on a green field project using the latest technologies to develop a Real Time data analytics platform for the FX Sales business. Our client offers a rare opportunity within banking to work on both client and server technologies, as well as full product life cycle development environments, ie from requirements gathering through implementation to release.
In order to be considered for this position, you will possess the following skills:
- 5+ years C# development experience and knowledge of advanced programming practices, eg design patterns.
- In depth understanding of OO principles.
- RDBMS experience (eg SQL Server/Oracle) Experience of Unit Testing (eg NUnit) and Mocking (eg Moq).
- Experience of describing systems using UML or other diagrams/models (Flowcharts/Swim lanes, ER, Block)
- Silverlight/WPF experience preferred Interest in developing Real Time systems with large volumes of data
- Understanding of Agile practices, including test driven development and refactoring
- Knowledge of 3rd party .NET frameworks and tools (minimum 5 years) GUI experience
- Being proactive and take ownership of tasks Experience of developing enterprise systems
- Motivated and enthusiastic team player Someone that shows initiative and resourcefulness
- Bachelor/Master degree preferred
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
