My client, a leading Insurance giant, requires a Systems Analyst, IBM Infosphere (Specifically Datastage), DB2, SOA, WebSphere App Server, Dublin based, €/day, 6 months.

The client:
Our client is a multinational financial services company in Dublin.
Role:
Our client is looking for an experienced systems analyst to join their current team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversight of design and coding standards.
- Review software solution design documents to assure designs are in line with business requirements and technical standards.
- Oversee process to sample review code deliveries to ensure alignment with best practice. Conduct review processes (eg design walk through, code review, unit or system test audit) to ensure deliveries are to quality.
- Provide input as required to base system technology requirements including hardware, software, network bandwidth requirements.
- Ensure adequate unit and system test plans are in place, and are being employed to prevent failures, target and eradicate root cause for repeat failures.
- Build and maintain constructive working relationships with technology delivery resource in partner organisations.
- Formalise software acceptance from partners and when necessary provide technical assistance to development teams.
- Identify opportunities to deliver technology improvements in systems and initiate work to do so where cost-benefit justified..
Experience:
- Understanding of systems life cycles and system integration.
- Track record of collaboration and re-use of solutions in global organisations.
- IBM InfoSphere - specifically DataStage - Essential.
- DB2
- SOA - Web Services - Essential.
- WebSphere Application Server.
- XML and associated technologies.
