My client is an exciting technology company based in Sweden which researches and develops eye tracking technology to integrate into laptops, PC Games, cars, industrial vehicles, medical image processing and many more products. Due to project requirements, the company has an immediate need for an interim Data Scientist/Algorithm Consultant to join their technology team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in machine learning and computer vision to lead the next generation of computer interaction interfaces to the mass market. In this position, you will work as a part of a cross functional team responsible for the development of future eye control modules for use in every laptop.

Responsibilities

  • Development and maintenance of eye control products
  • Development of algorithms within signal and image processing, computer vision, object detection and tracking
  • Researching algorithms for future use, as well as fine tuning, simulating and testing existing algorithms to maximize performance
  • Optimization to meet requirements for timing and memory

Required skills and experience

  • MSc or PhD in a relevant field, plus 3 years' of related commercial experience
  • Experience in Machine Learning (SVM, neural networks, bagging, random forests, randomized ferns, boosting, feature extraction)
  • Experience in working with Big Data
  • Experience in algorithm development for Real Time systems
  • Strong track record of statistical analysis/algorithm development in a commercial setting (on a consulting or permanent basis)
  • Deep knowledge of C and C++, Matlab and Python

Successful candidates for this role will be able to work on a project from research phase to delivery. The role is a minimum 3 month contract, offering a competitive daily rate.
