Description

Create and maintain systems training deliverables (eg, job aids, simulations, online help, presentation decks, web-based training files) using appropriate tools
Capture screen images for courseware using Snagit or other relevant software
Edit and proof courseware for quality, consistency, and adherence to standards
Work with subject matter experts as needed to create technically accurate documents
Submit courseware to department editor for editing, and make changes as directed
Actively participate in team-related meetings and special projects
Assist lead in any functions or tasks as required (ie, project plans, software reviews, and overall design development tasks)
Manage the end-to-end user experience for multiple concurring sales, services, and support projects.
Review and provide feedback on copy, images, and wireframes to create the best user experience.
Ensure that deliverables meet style, editorial, SEO, and accessibility guidelines, and adhere to brand voice and tone.
Provide content writing expertise for copy-related issues.
Coordinate with other leads to keep copy, images, and wireframes for various projects in sync, from a guidelines and standards perspective.
Work with Producers to resolve project-related issues.
Assigns project tasks to teammates and provides oversight of deliverables.
Create original relevant, meaningful, and contextual copy that follows industry best-in-class practices.
Create and manage a content doc for each project that meets business requirements, user experience requirements and standards, functional specifications, and development and implementation standards. Persuade stakeholders to approve content by providing solid user experience rationale.
Analyze business requirements, wireframes, and functional specifications to determine what content needs to be created.
Work proactively and independently with teammates, business partners, web developers, and content implementers
Create an excellent customer experience by using content strategy, design personas, usability studies, and competitive analysis results.
Consult and collaborate with information architects, visual designers, content strategists, and usability professionals to recommend content requirements that meet overall business and customer experience objectives

SKILLS:

Must have expert knowledge of Adobe Captivate 6.0, Adobe RoboHelp 9.x, Trivantis Lectora Publisher X, Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel, PP, Outlook), Techsmith Snagit 10.0; time entry, tracking, and reporting. Must be team oriented with outstanding Interpersonal Skills. Must have extensive business communication, technical writing, and editing experience.

There are distinct styles and standards that must be used on training materials and a team player that will adapt and not try to change the styles is needed. Candidate must accept editing by another, and not get frustrated or take it personally when their content is edited. The editor making changes is a seasoned employee who is extremely familiar with the work and knows what is required.

Must have work experience developing web based training using Captivate. Candidate must be local to Richardson, Texas. A candidate with experience in telecom application systems and the required skills to develop application system documentation is preferred.
