Description
Incident and Problem Manager with Storage and Mainframe experience.Core Purpose of the Role:
Mainframe Storage break fix support, maintenance, service improvement. Business and infrastructure project delivery.
Accountabilities:
- Incident and Problem resolution in all Mainframe Storage areas
- Contribute to Service improvement plans for Mainframe storage environments
- Deliver Mainframe storage for Business projects
- Lead improvement initiatives in the Mainframe Storage technical area
- Contribute to key Infrastructure delivery projects
- Ensure Incidents and Problems are resolved in line with SD Service Assurance targets
- Ensure processes and procedures are strictly adhered to
- Raise Change records to fix hardware and software issues with the backup service
- Work collaboratively across the wider Storage team to help develop, promote and implement process initiatives.
Key Capabilities/ Knowledge:
- IBM ZOS mainframe server skills and awareness
- DFSMS
- MVS Catalog and VSAM
- DFRMM / CA1 / CA-TLMS
- Knowledge of Oracle and IBM tape libraries and associated software
- Knowledge of IBM VTS and Oracle VSM
- IBM DS8000, Global/Metro mirror and GDPS
