Incident and Problem Manager with Storage and Mainframe experience.

Core Purpose of the Role:

Mainframe Storage break fix support, maintenance, service improvement. Business and infrastructure project delivery.

Accountabilities:
  • Incident and Problem resolution in all Mainframe Storage areas
  • Contribute to Service improvement plans for Mainframe storage environments
  • Deliver Mainframe storage for Business projects
  • Lead improvement initiatives in the Mainframe Storage technical area
  • Contribute to key Infrastructure delivery projects
  • Ensure Incidents and Problems are resolved in line with SD Service Assurance targets
  • Ensure processes and procedures are strictly adhered to
  • Raise Change records to fix hardware and software issues with the backup service
  • Work collaboratively across the wider Storage team to help develop, promote and implement process initiatives.


Key Capabilities/ Knowledge:
  • IBM ZOS mainframe server skills and awareness
  • DFSMS
  • MVS Catalog and VSAM
  • DFRMM / CA1 / CA-TLMS
  • Knowledge of Oracle and IBM tape libraries and associated software
  • Knowledge of IBM VTS and Oracle VSM
  • IBM DS8000, Global/Metro mirror and GDPS
