Description
Senior Perl Developer (server side) required to join a well known technology provider, there are significant growth plans on the horizon and it is envisaged that this contract will have multiple extensions because of this.Responsibilities as a Senior Perl Developer will include:
*Writing structured Object Oriented Perl
*Troubleshooting and solving problems encountered at scale to accommodate requirements of performance, concurrency, availability and resilience
*Designing and implementing internal and external product and platform APIs
*Writing tools and reusable components to support application development
Required skills:
* An extensive background in Perl development and knowledge of CPAN
* Extensive experience in creating high-availability and high-scalability software architecture
* Strong understanding of database design using SQL and MySQL
* Able to work with significant volumes of code and used to non structured environments
