EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY: This is an exciting opportunity for two Testers, with strong Windows knowledge/experience, to join one of Steria's critical government clients.
This is an initial 6 month assignment based in Steria's Head office in Hemel Hempstead.
The government programme has on going BAU testing and occasional more significant projects which require infrastructure testing. The test environments are based at Steria in Hemel. The two planned projects are Vmware Upgrade and Netbackup Upgrade.
Responsibilities:
Development of detailed test cases and test scripts, execution of tests, and recording of results including generation of Incidents/Defects in HP Quality Center. Liaison with Project Engineers for Test Witness and Problem Resolution. Generation of test reports in clear readable professional English.
Essential Skills:
The 2 related vacancies, each incumbent should have experience of testing in one or more of the following:
Citrix, File Storage, Active Directory, VMware, Netbackup and Networking and have strong overall Windows knowledge.
Derive accurate test cases from a test plan, project planning & design documents, execute tests accurately and honestly with minimal supervision, record results and appraise management of progress and problems, using verbal and written reports. The tester should have some understanding of datacentre infrastructure to comprehend project documents.
The normal working hours are typical daytime office hours, but due to potential contention on use of test environments some out of hours working may be required from time to time to get tests through the test environments in line with the project dates.
Due to the nature of the client and project we do require SC cleared Testers with valid and fully transferable SC clearance.
