Description
A Global Oil and Gas service company is looking for a Software Engineer to work on developing advanced optical fiber sensors for the oil and gas industry.The successful candidate will join a team of 10 people, working on a new project- alongside Mechanical Design, Electronic Engineers and Fiber Optic Engineers.
Will be carrying out a range of tasks including:
Developing C++ software to be installed on an instrument running a Linux operating system
Develop C# applications for interfacing and manipulating data from instruments
Documenting algorithms and workflows associated with the software
Essential criteria - Ideally the successful candidate will have
5+ years experience of C++ and C# experience
TCP/IP socket programming
Multi-threading programming in C++ (pthreads) and .NET
Desirable criteria -
Experience using the following software packages / environments would be also be desirable, as they are routinely used in the facility.
Matlab, Scilab or Octave
SVN source control
Redhat Linux
Visual Studio 2010 or higher
Eclipse IDE with CDT plugin
Unit test frameworks such as googletest
Work experience on software with signal processing applications and real-time applications
