Description
As a Mechanical Designer (Jigs & Fixtures) you will be responsible for the design of tools, tooling, jigs and fixtures using CAD (Catia V5) to assist in the manufacture of structural/mechanical components for an international Automotive OEM business based in the UK South West (commutable from the likes of Oxford, Newbury, Reading, Swindon, Bristol, etc.)As the Mechanical Designer (Jigs & Fixtures) your experience should cover most of the following:
- Catia V5 solid modelling
- Tooling and equipment design
- Special purpose machines
- Mechanical design, detailing, assembly drawing, bill of materials and geometrical tolerance (GD&T).
- Design of machined and fabricated components
- Creation of sequence charts and pneumatic diagrams
- Awareness of hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical control systems
