Essential Responsibilities:

Manage aspects of the monthly and quarterly financial closing and reporting process including variance analysis, financial reporting, account reconciliations

Partner with Operations teams to ensure compliance with GE practices and processes

Initiate process improvements and supports finance system and control implementations

Monitor WIP jobs weekly and ensure hours have been charged and materials have been properly issued before closing them out.

Monitor PPV and ensure parts have been properly cost and labor rolled up

Analyze exceptions to the traditional three-way match (PO, Receiver and Invoice) and initiate corrective actions.

Input inventory adjustments to ensure proper control of adjustments.

Report direct vs. indirect and absorbed hours monthly to GSCF leadership.

Work with standard costing analyst to ensure proper alignment with project and product line costs.

Maintain and monitor data related to vendor returns to ensure that credit is received

Ad hoc GSC reporting

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and  a minimum of 4 years' experience, or H.S. diploma and 10 years' accounting experience

At least 4 years of accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing environment

Excellent quantitative and analytical skills

Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve complex financial issues

Ability to adapt to a changing environment and work independently

Strong oral and written communication

Proven record of achieving results

Desired:

Experience with Oracle and Hyperion reporting tools

Advanced Excel capabilities

Proficient at data mining and analysis of data

1 Working on  numerous Deflation Projects, perform calculation of  hard & soft deflation savings,  performing Audit of implemented deflation project, to Arrive at Actual Deflation Savings,  working with Sourcing Team Leader.
