This company is embarking on an exciting new project that will look to innovate the business model for thier Surgical Cataract Portfolio. They are putting together an enhanced offering around their Cataract services that is akin with their consultancy services.

Therefore they are looking for someone to join them on a contract basis to help develop the offering and take it through the pilot.
The project will be split into 3 stages:
1st stage - develop the offering, bring in 3rd party supplier and project manage them, develop value proposition, lead interface between internal stakeholders (Surgical, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Market Access etc)
2nd phase - canvassing accounts that are interested in being part of the pilot and working with a local market access person
3rd phase - rolling out the pilot
We are looking for someone with:
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience in Patient Pathways, Service Design, Service Development
  • Experience of working in NHS hospitals
  • Minimum 5 years experience in commercial functions, ideally Sales, Product Management and/or Marketing, preferably with capital investments
  • Good communication skills
  • Good collaboration skills
  • Experience of managing a vendor and working in system redesign
  • The ability to shape something that is currently not well defined
  • The ability to work autonomously


This person could come from:
  • A Service Development team - but the pool of people for this is small
  • NHS - hospitals, CCG
  • Marketing with some sales


ABPI and Ophtha experience is a nice to have.
