Description
Adecco IT is currently looking for an experienced IT trainer on behalf of its client, a major global company in the Healthcare sector located in Basel.
Project scope:
- You are responsible for developing and delivering training, focused on IT software and hardware used.
- Specific emphasis of the role includes face to face training delivery to employees, to provide coaching & mentoring sessions on all new aspects of IT Core technologies that are rolled out to the various sites (emphasis to new users).
Major Accountabilities
- Provide training using a variety of delivery methods (classroom instructor-led, remote virtual, web-based..)
- Conduct on-site coaching & mentoring on specific IT HW/SW involving desk side or designated Service Desk locations
- Ad hoc demos on new technology in conjunction with the Service Desks
- Create/develop videos/materials for use in classroom delivery, as well as the development of eLearning materials. Such training materials include; for the classroom, eLearning, training videos, quick reference guides (QRGs), Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), and additional instructional & informative documents as required
- Develop strategies to apply software features to specific individual and work group challenges in order to improve quality of work or increase productivity.
- Collaborate with Global Training Coordinator to setup & deliver many Core IT training sessions to other global sites.
Your Background
- Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years' experience working within IT.
- Extensive and advanced knowledge of Office 2010+, Outlook, OneNote, Lync, SharePoint, IE8+, Windows 7 & 8, communities, social media, blogs etc., Ability to quickly learn on the job.
- Experience training end users on equipment such as iPhones/iPADs, tablets, VC equipment.
- Interest in new technologies, software and hardware, peripherals etc. is a must
- Superior presentation and communication skills are essential
- Demonstrable experience in creating eLearnings, training videos, animations, blogs/wikis or online materials using multimedia tool(s).
- To be able to work effectively as a team player, as well as use own initiative, and ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines.
Miscellaneous:
- Workload: Approx 150 hours per month (80-90%)
- Recent exposure as trainer in the Pharma research sector is a definite asset
- Fluent English/German is an asset
