Quality Assurance Manager

About this Job
Working closely with the IT & Operations Manager, and the eOperations Manager, the QA Manager will provide quality assurance leadership, and be ultimately responsible for ensuring quality of the software products for Internet and mobile channels.
This individual must have a proven track record of success leading a functional and technical QA team as part of an AGILE (scrum) organization, with a strong sense of quality ownership.

Description of Responsibilities
The QA Manager will be working in an Agile software development environment, with overall responsibility to define, develop and drive the test strategy and QA approach in relation to a major proprietary customized product suite designed for our Sports Betting systems, used by major operators in a major European regulated market.
Create, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications.
Create advanced software automation frameworks including appropriate test harnesses, data, and tools that increase the speed of release cycles and allow for constant high quality results
Manage and implement test strategies and plans and produce documentation of test results.
Work closely with Release managers, Product managers, Business Analysts and developers to review business requirements
Strong and timely decision making on quality issues.
Ensures implementation, maintenance and upgrading of the local Quality System and Standard Operating Procedures

Basic Skill Set & Experience
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or science related subject.
Relevant technical background in web technologies or background in business analysis, with minimum of 3 years' experience leading a team of QA Engineers.
Excellent and diplomatic communicator, with internal departments, partners and clients.
Project Management experience desirable
Hands on experience in using web based bug tracking tools such as JIRA and Bugzilla, and Test Management Tools.
Knowledge of smart phone Operating Systems such as Android, iOS, Blackberry or Windows desirable
Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for software analytics and quality.
Knowledge of security related standards and certifications would be a benefit
Self-motivation and ability to work without close supervision
Ability to work effectively within tight deadlines
Good written and oral English required, German would be an advantages
