* Languages: English + French and Dutch (one fluent, one understanding)Our client, active in insurances, is currently looking for a SCRUM Master to help improve their business in Belgium. The Scrum Master will be operating in a small, dynamic environment on a project for more than one year.
The Scrum Master we are looking for will guide the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values. He or she will be guiding the team on self-organising to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks. In this project, the candidate will also assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and coach them to higher levels of maturity. Furthermore, the freelancer will act as a facilitator for getting the work done without coercion, assigning or dictating the work. Therefore, he will also be facilitating discussion, decision making and conflict resolution. The candidate will also assist with internal and external communication to improve transparency and to radiate information. For this project, the Scrum Master will also support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog. Finally, he or she will provide all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible.
Being the candidate we are looking for, you have experience as SCRUM Master for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices and theory. For this project, you have good skills and knowledge of leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, empowerment and increasing transparency. Furthermore, you have knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach. Having knowledge/experience of other agile approaches or techniques is an added value. Finally, for this project, you speak English fluently, Dutch or French Fluently and Dutch or French intermediately.
