Seeking an assistant to the Web Delivery Manager or Web Site Manager or Web Content Manager.

To assist the Web Delivery manager in their daily functions (review wireframes and content etc.). You must have held a similar role were you were assisting for transactional websites (B2C or B2B transactional).

In this role you will be an assistant to the Web Delivery Manager on all day to day tasks with Desktop site platforms for a large global insurance provider within a small, fast-moving and incredibly passionate team. This role would suit someone who has experience managing a high level of requests and prioritising these based on business needs in a diplomatic way. We need a real people person.

You will be required to have:

  • A basic understanding of SEO
  • Understanding of key objectives of a customer facing transactional website
  • Understanding of user experience principles
  • know how to look at wireframes
  • Has liaised with web developers to elicit design
  • Good understanding of Google Analytics and website key metrics
  • Worked in an online web product environment for at least 2 years
  • 12 months minimum of CMS management experience
  • Experience with reviewing and editing wireframes
  • Has worked in a start-up type environment with small teams or small organizations that are fast pace and agile/adaptable environment where change is the norm
  • Must be very hands on
  • Experience of working with third party agencies and brief creation

This opportunity will go full time permanent after a 3 month contract period.

Day to Day Tasks:

Content management

  • Collecting content from various groups for production on desktop sites
  • Create new content pages from supplied content briefs
  • You will manage content change requests via a CMS
  • Edit existing content pages using a CMS
  • Edit current banners, graphics and rich media assets used on site
  • Audit assets on periodic basic in agreement with Senior International Web Delivery Manager
  • Liaising with design agencies to request new graphics
  • Manage and implement regular home page updates, liaising with marketing and product teams to establish messaging hierarchy
  • Assist with identifying areas and scope for potential A/B and Multivariate testing

Web change request management

  • You will manage web change requests delivery for sprints including scoping, wire framing, design production, briefing for coding, acceptance testing
  • Scope initial change requests, fix bugs, consistency enhancements and new functionality across sales funnels, landing page optimisation changes and small projects to implement new functionality to enhance site performance
  • Modify wireframes to support change request, and debrief developers
  • Liaise with web design agency to produce PSD files
  • Support web development if any questions arise during coding
  • Complete task acceptance testing and additional regression testing to support fortnightly sprint releases

First line of contact

  • You will be the everyday, first line of contact for product and marketing teams within the US, to answer questions and help the team shape initial ideas
  • You will be the first point of contact for product and marketing teams for questions, advice and identification of website issues
  • Regularly update the Senior International Web Delivery Manager with progress of content production and new functionality ideas and requests

Plus skills:

  • Graphic design skills (Photoshop or equivalent)
  • Understanding of mobile technologies
  • Knowledge of online retail industry
