Position Description:We are seeking a motivated and self-directed mid/senior-level system engineer to work with a team of developers to engineer solutions for our investment management businesses, and this specific project is working on Portfolio Implementation. An ideal candidate will have a software engineering background, preferably in C#/.Net, with proven experience in the financial industry and be versed in AMQP (or implementation product). As a member of the team, you will work in fast-paced, highly-interactive team to deliver robust software solutions, perform problem and requirements analysis, design, code, test, and support, all in the framework of Agile development.
Relevant skills/experiences include:
- College degree required.
- Proven experience with technologies include:
- (STRONG EXP): C#, .Net 4.0, unit tests, multithreading, etc.
- (MODERATE EXP): SQL Server, AMQP.
- (FAMILIARITY): NoSQL (esp. Cassandra), .Net 4.5, light architecture background, trade processing.
- Demonstrated success working in development teams using Agile Development.
- Self-starter, able to work as part of a small team as well as independently.
- Superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience in the finance industry a plus, but not a requirement.
- Purely middle/back end layer work - little to no front end.
- Professional training/development available.
