I am urgently looking for 10x embedded software/electronics engineers (junior/senior / Principal) for theCrawley area.
You may have 4-6 years experience in a hands-on position after graduating and be looking for your first more senior position or you may have between 5-10 years experience and be looking for your first team-leading / Prinicipal role.
The business are a global Medical design/manufacture and sales business that have been trading since the 1970's. They have just expanded into brand new purpose built spacious offices and have over 3,500 employees acrossEurope
They are extremely proud of their heritage and need candidates who display the characteristics that would allow them to flourish in such an environment. Organically grown, they owe nothing to the banks and have paid for their new site outright.
There really is no limit to the scope of this position, it will be whatever you make it.
The expansion plans of the company will mean that for the right candidate, career progression is readily available, moving into more of a management role as the team grows. As there are multiple roles, it is a strong sign that this company is going from strength to strength.
This is an interesting, challenging and rewarding role involving all aspects of analysis, design, development and testing of embedded software for medical devices including control software and related user interfaces and work-flows.
A high level of C++ proficiency and object oriented design and development experience that includes systems involving concurrency management (multi-threading/multi-process/etc) is essential. It is necessary to have some experience of one or more of the following: embedded systems, control systems, safety critical software, hard real time determinism.
Familiarity with several common Agile practices/frameworks from the following list is also essential: continuous integration, test driven design/development, source code control systems, automated deployment and testing, SCRUM and/or XP, user stories, pair programming, shared code ownership, shared accountability for deliverables, story pointing.
