Description
A leading medical device company experiencing rapid growth is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to provide concept development for new products.The position is for a 6 month contract, with potential to extend, paying a rate of $35-55/hour dependant upon experience and skill level. The Manufacturing Engineer will primarily be responsible for concept development, user requirement specifications (URS) authoring, and automation in support of new business opportunities. Additional responsibilities include leading equipment design reviews, managing automation projects and equipment installations, developing process parameters, among many more.
A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent mix of education and experience
- 4+ years experience in development of automated systems
- Experience with SolidWorks or other mechanical CAD system
- Understanding of GAMP methodology
- Ability to execute FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ, and PQ validation phases
- Working knowledge of mechanical devices such as indexers, pick & place, sensors, and PLCs
- Travel up to 10-20%
- Strong project management skills
