My client is a Power company based in the North East of England and they are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to compliment their growing team.Responsibilities:
*Creating new designs based on a series of design rules.
*Costing and preparing quotations.
*Assisting with technical support for customers.
*Specifying test instructions, assisting with test & analysis of results.
*Root cause analysis & evaluation of failed machinery on behalf of customers.
*Production of working drawings & modifying existing drawings from specifications.
*Direct involvement in managing client relationships, assisting with and providing support and technical knowledge where required.
Person Specification:
Skills necessary:
*Prior experience in the Electrical Design of rotating machines.
*Educated to a minimum of HNC/HND level Electrical Engineering or similar
*Designing synchronous generators and permanent magnet machines.
*Knowledge of motor and generator control equipment.
*Be flexible in approach to business needs.
*A self-starter who is ambitious for themselves and for the company.
*Have excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels internally and externally.
