Description
A leading defence client has a new requirement for a SC Cleared Network Engineer for an initial period of 3 months.
Please note that due to the nature of this position, candidates must hold a current SC level Security
Clearance
This role will mainly be based in Mons in Belgium, (1 hour from Brussels) with occasional travel to their site in Filton, Bristol.
This role is to work closely with the end client, NATO on the NCIRC programme (National Computer Incident Response Capability). Due to the nature of the role, candidates must hold a valid SC Clearance.
Expenses will be covered for T&S whilst working in Mons.
The client is looking to recruit 2 Network Engineers with specific experience with mainly CISCO and Juniper.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Assisting in the overall implementation of new technologies.
- As required lead on technical development work.
- Assist in testing and rollout of developed technologies.
- Troubleshoot support issues as required.
Contribute to the improvement and efficiency of the Special Projects Team
Essential skills for this role:
- Networks - CISCO and Juniper.
- A high level of proficiency with Server Operating Systems, including Microsoft Windows Server
- A high level of proficiency with Desktop Operating Systems, including MS DOS, MS Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7
- Networking, including Ethernet LAN, Wireless, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, FTP, VPN
- Directory Services, including Active Directory, Group policy, Terminal services
- Excellent Communication skills
- Comfortable fielding calls in a dynamic support environment
- Strong experience with talking customers through to resolution
Desirable skills for this role:
- Networks - Palo Alto
- Virtualisation Technologies, including, vSphere, VirtualCenter, VDI, Vmotion, Citrix Presentation Server, Microsoft App-V (formally Softgrid)
- Databases, including SQL Server, Oracle
- Secure systems experience
- SAN experience
- SC/DV Cleared
