Description

We’re looking for candidates to fill a junior developer role in our digital agency business. We’re looking for someone who is a comfortable programmer who understands the value of doing things the right way, not the quick way.

You might already have some commercial development experience, or maybe up to now it’s all been academic, but you’ll have a basic grasp of the web and how it works, and you’ll understand some basic design patterns, like MVC. We’ll provide training (both formal and ad-hoc) to get you up to speed from there.

This is a fast-paced job, and as part of your role you'll be required to research new techniques, work with new APIs, maintain legacy software and systems, and learn to manage our technical infrastructure. At FARM, our junior developers aren’t relegated to a support role; you’ll be working on real code, for real clients with high expectations.

We have a first class account management team, and our projects have dedicated producers and project managers, so our developers are generally insulated from our clients. You'll be working with our existing team of developers; you'll learn as much from us as we will from you. We support all our staff by providing training, conference tickets, and a work environment which encourages best practices over quick profits.

You can be based anywhere in the UK. Many of our team already work remotely, or you can join us in our offices; we have an office in Lancashire near Leyland and an office in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire. Regardless of where you choose to work, we meet up regularly for company events and conferences.
