Proteus Europe, operating as an employment agency, is seeking an experienced Quality & HSE Engineer to work on a permanent basis in Breda, Netherlands. Our client, a leading corporation is looking for a Quality and HSE Support Engineer to become an integral member of their established team.

As a Quality & HSE Support Engineer you will coordinate the day-to-day running of the Breda Quality & HSE function in order to achieve the Company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage (with cluster support teams) the site compliance to all customer and scheme quality compliances as, well as all applicable ISO standards /etc).

Work with the team to ensure that all work is progressed through the Personalisation Centre to achieve the customer required service level agreements. Where necessary coordinate and directly participate in shop floor production activity, providing cover where necessary.

To act as multi-skilled support for:-

Process - management and improvement of production processes.

Methods - manages the WCE working methods, analyzes problems (customer complaints, internal) and provides solutions

Product quality - ensuring customer and company standards are met, via correct adherence to policy, process and procedure.

Quality/Claims
  • management of scrap (and its reporting), and root cause/correction management in the event of a customer claim.
  • Inspection of incoming goods
  • Manages customer claims via company's standard.


New Product Introduction
  • participates in deployment of new products into the PSC centre, including equipment setup and test card/pack output management.
  • Participates in customers' change requests along with the company's policies and procedures.


Actively promote all Lean Manufacturing concepts and Key Performance Indicators within the PSC.

Act in capacity to coordinate and participate in materials logistic & support, including reception of materials and warehousing thereof, issuance of materials (including vault operation under compliant control), and shipping of finished goods on a daily basis.

To implement all operational aspects of internal and customer projects.

Participate to the QHSE system management review, quality KI analysis and improvement on a regular basis.

Analysis and reporting of incident or accidents.

Review the risks analysis for Health and Safety elements within the business and suggest change where applicable

Actively promote Environmental best practices within the business

Ensure that documentation used in the business is reviewed and updated as per business need, using the Q-pulse Document Management System.

Participate to the ISO audit programme and manage any corrective action plans resulting from said audit.
Conduct internal audits.

Train employees on Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental topics including initial Induction training, annual refresher training, process changes, and best practice sharing.

Help to define business objectives to enhance QHSE systems operational within the site.

The ideal candidate will have proven Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental experience however, our client is willing to consider candidates that can connect with some of these topics, have a logical approach and is willing to learn all areas.

Any Dutch language skills would be beneficial however, this is not essential.
