Role:

Undertake the systems analysis and produce the required documentation for Client and Process MI required by Client Selection as well as for the Global Banking focussed business MI Reporting programme.

Key Accountabilities

* Work with the various development and business teams to design MI reports and dynamic dashboards

* Work with and support the UK Reporting project manager and Development Manager and with the Global Standards team to understand the requirements

* Work with the various product development teams to develop interfaces for specific data requirements required within the reporting

* Work with the Data Warehouse and ETL development leads/PMs and Data Architect to deliver a scalable data warehouse to support extensive reporting requirements

* Work with the Test team to develop automated regression and stress test solutions

* Investigate and present to stakeholders solution options and make appropriate recommendations

* Escalate risks, issues and dependencies to Project Management.

* Work directly with the Dynamic Dashboard PM to ensure interactive reporting requirements can be delivered in a performance, maintainable manner, applying stringent data and user security controls.

Essentials:

* Proven experience in writing both functional and technical specifications. Ability to capture the detail of the users' requirements and articulating these clearly to the development team

* Systems analysis experience of Data Warehousing based reporting solutions (understanding of Data Warehouse principles)

* Practical experience of data consolidation and integration with golden sources/golden copies.

* Experience of data quality review and data analysis

* Good understanding of Global Investment Banking & Markets business

* Ability to communicate effectively with both business users and the IT development team and project managers.

* Ability to logically break down requirement into component steps, striving for simplicity and logically manageable component behaviours

* Reviewing relative priorities of outstanding work and identifying misaligned priorities.

* Strong knowledge of reporting presentation (Qlikview dashboard, COGNOS, preferred) and testing technologies

* Exposure to data transformation services (e.g. IBM Infosphere Information Server)

* Ability to produce clear and concise documentation in Microsoft Word / Excel / Powerpoint / Visio. Different documentation style and format dependent on audience.

* Relational database knowledge (Oracle/Sybase)
