IT Helpdesk Team Lead
A fantastic opportunity has emerged in the Antwerp area of Belgium for an ambitious IT professional to join a growing retail organisation.
The successful candidate will take up the position of Helpdesk Team Lead, with the responsibility of supporting the Retail Support Team for several retails stores across Europe.
The role is a long term contract position, with the client offering attractive bonuses and work incentives on top of a competitive salary rate.
The role responsibilities involve:
- Manage a team of first and second line support
- Reinforce the support team to deliver day-to-day first line support assistance to our owned and operated retail stores
- Provide technical knowledge if there are any problems
- Remotely configure POS systems
- Making recommendations regarding enhancements of the PC systems and standard business systems
- First Line//Second Line support retail stores across Europe
- As your knowledge of the system improves, provide second line support services
- Manage and control server processes using server utilities and OS (Windows) features
Required Profile:
- Bachelor degree in IT
- Experience in leading a team
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an IT support environment, ideally for a retailer
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server, Transact SQL
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server (Domain, Scripting, Tools)
- PC hardware: basic knowledge (maintenance)
- Basic, applicable knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services and Reporting Services
- Willing to work in rotating shift model during shop opening hours, and occasionally weekends
- Fluent English and French (or Dutch) speaker, able to pass on knowledge to people that do not always have IT skills
