SAP Test Manager
I am looking for strong SAP Test Managers with experience in ABAP, SD, MM and FI for an 11 month contract in Galway, Ireland.
The successful candidate will create detailed test plans and track testing effort to those plans. They should be able to understand the issues/defects at a high level and add value in finding the resolution to those testing issues.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- design, propose, and implement high level testing strategy to build and improve upon the existing foundation of regression testing to make it more comprehensive and effective.
- research, design, develop, configure, integrate, test and maintain existing and new business applications and/or information systems solutions including databases through integration of technical and business requirements.
- analysis of business requirements, coding of modifications or new program, creation of documentation, testing and maintenance of applications, infrastructure, and information systems including database management systems.
Applications and infrastructure solutions include both 3rd party software and internally developed applications and infrastructure.
Works within the Information Technology function, obtaining resources and working in support of objectives and strategies. Provides required documentation and participates in architecture reviews to ensure that the solutions comply with standards and use approved technologies.
Experience required:
- Testing experience on SAP is essential not just testing experience on other systems
- The candidate should be excellent at Risk Management (ie knowing which are the most critical test cases/scripts to execute in order to have an overall assessment of likelihood of success following the projects Release to Production)
- Must be good at influencing the design and indeed designing SAP test scripts to better improve the quality of testing thereby reducing the likelihood of issues on go live
