SAN/NAS Storage Systems Engineer, Brussels
Our client a large IT company are searching for a SAN/NAS Storage Systems Engineer with at least 5 years experience in design, implementation and ongoing management of storage solutions, backup and archiving. We are searching for a SAN/NAS Storage Systems Engineer with solid knowledge of storage arrays, SAN and NAS. As the SAN/NAS Storage Systems Engineer you will have a solid understanding of concepts for storage provisioning and concepts such as zoning, LUN, thin provisioning and also knowledge of the administration of capacity management. Experience in managing Storage platforms IBM XIV, Storwize V7000 and DS8800.
The SAN/NAS Storage Systems Engineer will have expertise in Transversal Services ( network, facilities, storage, monitoring, security, capacity management and asset and configuration management ). You will Be part of the processes for architecture, design, configuration and maintenance of large storage and backup environments, with different operating systems (iSeries, Aix, Linux, Windows and VMware ESX).
Essential Skills/Knowledge:
- 5 years experience working as a SAN/NAS Storage Systems Engineer.
- Expert knowledge of storage of provisioning and concepts such as zoning, LUN, thin provisioning.
- capacity management ( Experience in managing Storage platforms IBM XIV, Storwize V7000 and DS8800 ).
- You have a solid knowledge of back-upconcepten and solutions such as TSM and Veeam.
- knowledge/experience with transversal services (network, facilities, storage, monitoring, security, capacity management and asset and configuration management).
- Experience with different operating systems (iSeries, Aix, Linux, Windows and VMware ESX).
Languages needed:
- Fluent English
- Good/Basic French and/or Dutch.
