Description
Mechanical Design Engineer R&DThe Mechanical Design Engineer will be a major contributor in establishing and producing the design and development of Electro-mechanical equipment. You will also be responsible for maintaining existing products, overseeing and undertaking the prototyping and testing of products and supporting marketing, production and purchasing activities to meet customer needs for function, cost and quality.
The ideal candidate will have:
*3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role
*A degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
*2+ years commercial Solidworks experience, Solid Edge may be acceptable
*FEA (finite element analysis) experience
*Good documentation skills
*Good customer facing skills
You will have been involved in:
*Heavy mechanical design
*Taking a concept all the way through the lifecycle of a product
*Complex engineering projects, not one-off product designs
