Ruby on Rails Developer - German SpeakingOur client is a leader in Swiss logistics. They are seeking a talented Ruby on Rails developer who enjoys developing web-based applications. You will enjoy and will have worked in an agile methodology, as well as using test and Behaviour-Driven Development.
About the job
You will develop multi-tenant web applications for document and information management applications, and will work closely with other team members in improving the business and developing new ideas.
As part of the development team you will not only be responsible for the development, but also the analysis, design, usability, testing and deployment of tasks.
Responsibilities
- Design meetings with the Product Owner
- Joint analysis of software design and implementation planning
- Features fully develop through all layers: from the database using Ruby code to the CSS styling.
- Code Reviews.
- Pair programming, as often as possible.
- Code management using Git and Github, the responsibility is taken together.
- Automated Testing with RSpec and Capybara.
- Programming languages ??are Ruby and JavaScript / CoffeeScript.
- Web development platform is Ruby on Rails.
Key Requirements
- The clients agile development is based on Scrum and Kaban processes therefore experience with these is essential.
- At least 2-3 years experience Ruby on Rails
- Experience in web application development
- Ruby, Rails, HTML, CSS, Java-/Coffeescript, (No) SQL
- Behaviour and Test Driven Development
- German language skills, teamwork
