Mansion House Consulting is hiring multiple Server Storage Engineers with demonstrable, recent experience for an onsite role with our Tier One Investment Bank client. Banking, financial or insurance sector experience preferred.
Location: NYC or Jacksonville, FL (multiple roles)
Duration: 6months +, with rolling renewals

Overview of the role and responsibilities
Key focus is the daily storage operations with the following core responsibilities aligned to client policies and procedures:
- System Monitoring
- Trouble-shooting
- Storage Provisioning
- Performance Monitoring
- Incident Handling
- Problem Management
- Change Management
- Agreed Service Level Agreement turn-around
- Regional Operational Handover
- DR/BCP
Interfacing with and managing various third party vendors (EMC, HP, CISCO, etc.).
Experience and Background
Experience with large enterprise environments
Minimum 4 - 5 years SAN experience in the following areas:
- EMC Open Replicator - features, zoning, and actions
- EMC Federated Live Migration (FLM) - Live migrations
- Symmetrix Management Console (SMC)
- Solutions Enabler - installation, command line interface {SYMCLI}, daemons
- Installation, configuration, troubleshooting including using the SMC Server
- Symmetrix configuration and replication tasks with SMC
- Symmetrix Configuration Management, Auto-Provisioning and Virtual LUN Migration
- Symmetrix configuration, device creation and metric settings
- Auto and Virtual provisioning concepts, usage and benefits
- Monitoring Thin pools
- Virtual LUN migrations including Thin device migration from one pool to another
- FAST and FAST VP concepts, usage and benefits
- Symmetrix Performance Analyzer - function and benefits, Install and configuration, Administrative tasks, User Interface controls
- Dashboard, diagnostic, snapshot, trend and Real Time views
- Symmetrix Business Continuity Management
- TimeFinder/Clone/Snap - operations, application, host considerations and configurations, Consistency technology theory of operations and its application
- SRDF/S - operations and application
- SRDF/A - operations and application
- SRDF - host considerations and configurations
- SRDF/AR (single-hop) - operations and application
- SRDF consistency technology - operations and its application
Degree level qualification in a computing based subject
Essential Technical Skills
Detailed SAN knowledge
Excellent switch architecture knowledge (Cisco)
Excellent knowledge of EMC Storage framework (DMX, VMAX)
Knowledge of Hitatchi HDS technology
