The Client
Our client is one of Australia's leading and largest Financial Services Organisations well known for its innovative use of & investment in Technology. The organization has a large range of online channels through which they offer their portfolio of financial services to both public and private clients across the retail, corporate and institutional banking areas. They have an incredibly large technical footprint which combines a dynamic range of technologies in a highly complex landscape.
The Team
The Web Security Team is responsible for the online user security & management of this organizations web and mobile offerings. They're a very well-respected, highly visible team, constantly driving the security principles of firm's platforms. The work that they do is critical to this organization's continued success and steady growth and is, in essence, the front gates of the company's interaction with external customers. The bank have recently embarked on a large-scale, multi-million dollar project in consolidate their online offerings into one, single-point-of-entry system through which their customers can manage every aspect of their finances.
The Role
You will work very closely with the architects to design and deliver best-in-breed security based solutions for the various business units within the online area. You will work on modules and services that form the security foundations of the online suite and as such be expected to look into more fundamental aspects of HTTP and security protocols (Single-Sign-On/Authentication/Verification/Encryption/Session Management). This is not a typical web development position, this is an opportunity to work in a niche team and work with some interesting technologies such as HSM, PKI, SAML, & F5.
Requirements of the role:
- Strong Front to Back Web Development Experience - Latest .NET Technologies
- Strong grasp of C#, WCF, WIF, LDAP & IIS
- Solid Database skills - SQL Server and/or Oracle
- Additional Experience using HSM, PKI, SAML, & F5
- Good understanding on common components such as HTTP modules, cookies, and JSON.
- Genuine interest in web security & systems vulnerabilities (in order to identify & prevent them)
- Commercial experience building security related modules (preferred)
- Experience with common application components such as MSMQ, HSM, & Active Directory.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with good technical and business acumen.
