Main Duties
Work with internal clients to turn business requirements into new software solutions. Translate requirements into technical specifications and designs that can be used for software development.
Design, develop, test and support new Risk Services software. Participate fully in the complete software development life cycle. Ensure all releases are of a high-quality and delivered on time.
Participate in development support of existing business-critical Risk Services systems. These include risk generation engines, risk store technologies and batch management software for grid distribution.
Main technologies used will be C++ and C# with grid computing technologies such as DataSynapse and Middleware technologies such as Solace and Oracle Coherence.
Person Requirements Qualification/Education Required
- First class degree in numerate discipline, geater than 75% in 10th and 12th grade.
Qualification/Education Preferred
- Degree in a technical, mathematical or financial discipline from a top university
Experience Required
- Development of Server Side and multi-threaded software in C++
- Experience building Front Office risk systems in another bank or financial softeware house
- Cross-region teams and projects
- Full software life cycle
- Regular and confident interaction with end-users and customers
- Providing support and resolving issiues for systems in production
Experience Preferred
- Development of Server Side and multi-threaded software in C#
- Pluggable software systems
- Development on Windows platforms
- SOA systems
- XML technologies
- Development in Scripting language such as Python
- Experience developing high-performance Server Side/compute grid distributed risk generation software
- Systems that utilise a compute grid (eg Data Synapse) and/or data grid (eg Oracle Coherence).
