At the express request of one of our largest Multi-National Clients based in the Irish Market we are actively looking to fill an urgent requirement within their Dublin Office. The ideal candidate will have the responsibility of managing the deployment and support of Data Center focused technology and services across the Global offices. You will be joining an already established team and will work closely with them to develop and grow skill level and professional capacity.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- An equal “Love Affair” with both Linux and Windows Technologies (Generalist Knowledge)
- Solid experience with and understanding of network operations at Layers 2 and 3 (Enterprise Software)
- Solid experience with and understanding of fundamental network technologies (DHCP, DNS, VPN, NAT, etc.)
- Solid understanding of fundamental storage technologies (Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, etc.)
- Skilled with various Data Centre technologies including VMware, Linux, Multi-Vendor FC SAN & Storage, Microsoft Data Centre Server, Dell/IBM Servers, Commvault Simpana
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- VMware, Linux, and Microsoft certification along with CCNA certification or equivalent experience with management of Layer 2 networking equipment
Experience
- 3+ years experience supporting a multi-vendor environment including Linux/ SAN/ Virtualisation/ Microsoft Products (Financial House Where Possible)
- Proven track record working in a fast paced support environment
