KEY JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESDigital ASIC and Embedded System Engineer.
Ability to write a "C" compiler for a custom microprocessor.
Knowledge of GCC or YACC compiler to be changed for a custom microprocessor.
Write computer software and scripts to control the test boards.
Design and development of ASICs, FPGAs, Software and Firmware.
Write HDL for ASIC and FPGA design.
Write software and scripts to perform ASIC tests.
Write firmware in a proprietary assembly language to verify ASIC functionality.
Bring up, troubleshoot, and design ASIC test PCBs.
Support embedded system team and transceiver team to help:
implement ASIC core into product designs,
implement firmware for products,
implement appropriate testing procedures for production testing,
debug and solve product issues relating to ASICs.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
MS in Computer Science and Computer Engineering with emphasis on digital embedded system design, firmware, and software debugging skills.
Knowledge of embedded system development and
debugging techniques.
Experience with assembly language programming, C, C++, Perl, & VHDL or Verilog.
Experience with HDL simulation, FPGA synthesis, ASIC synthesis.
