Electronics Engineer, East Midlands, 6 monthsAn Electronics Engineer / High Speed Digital Design Engineer is required for an initial 6 months to join a renowned and respected engineering company for fresh board design and development.
This is an opportunity to get in with a respected client who has a strong reputation for looking after their contractors, as well as offering long term contracts on interesting projects.
Joining a multi-disciplined team of Electronics Engineers & Software Engineers, it is vital that you're able to work in a team environment and have strong communication skills. The successful candidate will have experience / knowledge of:
-Single board computers (utilising Intel Haswell Chipsets, PCIe, DDR3, USB 3.0)
-Network switches for 10G over internet
-On board switch mode power supplies to meet the multiple rails required by modern processors and switches
-Power supply simulation
-Signal integrity simulation (ideally using Hyperlynx, or similar)
-Power plane and decoupling simulation
-Familiarity with VPX backplane technology
-Familiarity with EMC
-Familiarty with designing for wide temperature ranges (-40C to +85C)
