Sitec Engineering Recruitment are currently recruiting for a prestigious engineering company who specialise in the Nuclear industry and are seeking a Stress Engineer / Analyst to be based in their Bristol office.
Main Purpose

o To provide robust solutions to complex analytical problems within challenging time constraints and budgets to ensure project delivery requirements are met.

Key Skills

o The ability to intergrate within a multi-discipline design team and provide specialist advice to ensure cost effective solutions. o Possess strong analysis skills to ensure a robust substantiation of design outputs is prepared.
o Possess good communication skills with the ability to communicate analysis solutions to internal and external clients. o Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent - Civil, Aeronautical, etc) subject.
o A minimum of 5 years experience working in the field of stress analysts and ideally with exposure to the Nuclear Industry.

o Experience in the use of key design codes, relating to Mechanical Handling equipment and their associated structures, e.g. BS2573, BS7608, BS5950, BS EN 13001, Eurocodes, ASME codes, etc.

o Knowledge in the use of Flinite Element methods particularly in relation to the design of structures together with being conversant in the use of Ansys, both Mechanical APDL and Workbench.

o Working experience in the use of analysis software, e.g. MathCad.

o Possess strong analytical capabilities with the ability to develop mathematical solutions from first principles.

o The ability to actively participate in technical discussions providing positive input and guidance to the design teams. o Possess the ability to prepare coherent and technically sound analysis reports.
o The ability to work with the minimum supervision to delviery design solutions in support of projects outputs.

Candidates must hold current or be able to obtain UK Security Clearance to SC level.
