We are searching for a candidate to work in the IT Operations Center. The duties will include working with other analysts within the IT Operations Center and performing 2nd level triage and remediation. This analyst will have responsibility for maintaining the reliability of the environment utilizing HP Openview's Management suite of products. Some weekend and OT hours may be required.

Primary Job Duties:
  • Primary responsibility is managing the availability of the IT Server environment. Responsibility for the monitoring and restoration of the Infrastructure following documented processes.
  • Responding to incident tickets and assigning priorities.
  • Perform diagnostics to remediate detected/reported server HW/OS incidents
  • Perform scheduled configuration changes (SW/HW).
  • Work with groups within IT Infrastructure and IT Applications in resolving problem issues.
  • Document alarms and process for use by other analysts within the Network Operations Center.
  • Maintain/update ITOC standard operating and escalation procedures, personnel contact lists, and other ITOC documentation as directed by ITOC leadership.
  • Prepare IT network and systems performance reports and operating statistics as directed by NOC leadership.

SKILLS:

Job Qualifications:

  • The Senior Windows Server Admin should be fully capable of performing independent actions associated with best practices in architecture, deployment, support, troubleshooting, and inter-operability of current Microsoft server operating systems and primary Server Side applications.
  • Since most of the systems in this environment are running on VMware, candidate should be fully capable of creating, supporting, and troubleshooting ESX 5.3 in a best practices manner.
  • The candidate must also possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft's SCCM and WSUS platforms including software and patching deployment.
  • Candidate must have a strong knowledge and familiarity with Windows . (MCSE a plus)
  • Working knowledge and familiarity with Unix Platforms (Solaris, HPUX, Linux/Redhat)
  • Knowledge and experience with AD, DNS, DHCP
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and group policies
  • Candidate must have experience and demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem isolation skill when working in a large complex distributed IT environment.
  • Ability to compile operating data/statistics and prepare performance reports
  • Ability to follow documented processes.
  • Experience with Corporate Security best practices
  • A strong background working in IT Operations environment is recommended.
Desktop Skills:
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
Other IT Skills:
  • Familiarity with change management practices in an IT operating environment
  • Familiarity with IT network security practices

  • Ability to prioritize tasks

Additional Requirements:
  • May require ability to work at night, off-hours, holidays, and weekends (on-call rotation)
  • Must be flexible with O.T. and possible shift changes to cover for vacation/sickness.
  • This position may require emergency call-in during severe storm mobilization and electric system damage restoration.
