Description
Seeking a senior FPGA designer to participate in the development of new digital imaging systems employing intensified image sensors.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement new and efficient image processing FPGA architectures for the next generation night vision systems
- Develop and improve existing Verilog modules, reuse and integrate IP modules
- Use microcontroller cores such as Nios or ARM9
- Coordinate interoperability of digital modules with embedded camera firmware
- Define hardware and firmware interfaces, protocols
- Implement SDRAMs, DDR-RAMs, FIFO controllers within FPGA
- Emulate FPGAs in systems, validate designs
- Debug product, test and resolve design issues on the hardware platform
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Proficient in Verilog, HDL language and FPGA design
- Proficient in FPGA timing closure/area optimization techniques
- Experience working with high speed SerDes, LVDS, PLL
- Experience designing video processing pipelines, video cameras, knowledge of image sensor products
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- BS in EE or Computer Science, advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years experience with hardware systems, embedded systems
