Huxley Associates are proud to be working with an international Automotive manufacturer who develops and manufactures precision products who are currently recruiting for an Inventory Control Planner/Manager Role to join their team in the Herefordshire area. This is the chance to join an absolute key player in the industry that will be able to take your career from strength to strength.

The company now has an opportunity to bring on board an Inventory Control Planner who will then move into an Inventory Control Manager within 12-18 months. The manager already within this position is close to retirement, hence the role becoming available.

You must have past experience within Inventory Planning; you will be CIPS qualified or be willing to commit to study to this level. You MUST have ability to build strong relationships with international customers and co-workers as this is key to the role. German speaking is desirable but not essential and you must be a resilient character who is able to work well under pressure, willing to challenge the status-quo and elevate to higher management, obstacles which may prevent the company achieving its overall performance and impact on KPI's

Qualifications/Skills/Experience
  • Minimum 2.1 (or higher) Business/Management degree or equivalent experience.
  • Currently CIPS Graduate or ILM level 5 status (or must be prepared to commit to study to this level)
  • Working knowledge of supply chain management processes ideally within a distribution/warehousing or complex, global industry
  • Must be commercially astute.
  • Effective written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Interfacing within centralised warehouses personnel is essential to achieve desired results.
  • IT Microsoft Office competent (Excel to advanced level preferred)
  • Must be able to manipulate and accurately analyse large quantities of data.
  • E/MRP/SAP recent user knowledge would be a distinct advantage
  • Basic German language skills would be an advantage although not essential
  • Experience of 'Lean' (MOVE) or Continuous Improvement would be helpful although not essential as training would be given.
  • be in possession of an unendorsed driving licence (the exception would be a maximum of 6 points relative to exceeding the speed limit).
  • Demonstrate KPI's, processes and implementation of change
  • Key achievements from past positions
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the below:
  • Law of Distribution, Frequency of Demand, slow moving & redundant stock
  • The ability to manage a small team


Salary is flexible dependant on the successful candidate's skills and experience plus a generous benefits package is also included, which is dependant on the successful candidate's skills and experience. A relocation package would be available for the right candidate.
