We are currently seeking a Middleware operations engineer for a contract in the Netherlands.

In this position you will work within the DevOps teams, Marketing & Manned Channels. The department in which you work is responsible for +/- 55 applications that support the banks Call Centre, customer services, offices, service points and main website.

General knowledge/experience:

  • HBO/WO working and thinking, with an IT background
  • ITIL foundation

Technical knowledge/experience:

  • Unix, AIX, Linux (Redhat) and Shell Scripting Tomcat (management and configuration, performance testing and tuning Web applications and deployment Scripting), Oracle and PostgreSQL Bash Scripting Deployment automation (Scripting and Nolio), Continuous Delivery Agile Scrum Competencies.
  • Achievement Motivation - Conduct that demonstrates setting high standards for own work. Shown not to have an average performance.
  • Problem & Judgement - Identifying problems, identify key information, connections between data. Detect possible causes of problems; searching of relevant information. Data and possible courses of action in the light of relevant criteria weigh and come to realistic assessments.

Description of content:

1. Testing 
Build, test and perform performance testing and production acceptance testing. The performance and production acceptance test is the final check for the custom software for the production platform is.

2. Deploy

3. Operate
- Resolving incidents and the drafting of user stories in response to structural incidents by the Ops engineer analysed the root cause was of each incident occurred and holds measures to prevent recurrence.
- The administration and execution of audit and verification of application components in the production configuration database (CMDB) 
- Monitoring and managing system tables, batch processes, and application Firewalls 
- Audit and verification of the user granted access to the applications and the administration; a good user access process is to ensure that no unauthorized access is possible to the personal or sensitive data. If you deposit Ops engineer through verification that the process is followed properly.

Responsibilities:
You will work in a DevOps team composed of Dev and Ops Engineers and reports to the Ops Manager. You transport the applications to a production environment and monitors the application is available and functioning properly. For Ops Engineer relations: building, testing and performing deployment scripts for different environments and deploying applications in Java WebSphere 

The build, test and run batch scripts and monitoring 

Conducting of the various management activities (eg resolving incidents, plans to LCM applications and platforms, and administer and validate user access to the application) 

The performance testing and tuning of applications. Eg budget and management staff
