Senior UX Designer (Data Analytics) (Contract)

The UX Designer will be responsible for producing:

  • A clear, user-centric design vision
  • Information architecture including Content inventory, Content analysis, Content outline, Content modelling, Information hierarchy, vocabulary/taxonomy, etc.
  • Interaction design including User flow diagrams
  • Navigation design and Information representation including Wireframes and Mock-ups
  • User research including Personas, User Stories, Usability test plans, Usability reports,

Skills & Experience Required

  • 5+ years User Experience/User Interaction design experience.
  • Demonstrable track record of designing simple and elegant solutions to present complex data.
  • Presentation of analytics (eg in dashboards, charts) based on very large data volumes is critical.
  • Experience designing user experience for software productweb user interfaces, ideally for software as a service
  • Relevant qualifications in User Experience or User Interface design; Interaction Design, Cognitive Science, or HCI, or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in human interface guidelines, standards, and web application best practices
  • Ability to conduct design, prototyping and user research
  • Ability to produce and translate ideas into clean wireframes and mockups for implementation.
  • In addition to UX design the candidate needs to have graphical design ability and visual flair to be able to set the vision for the look and feel of our product
  • Ability to produce web page mockups and simple prototypes

Advantageous but not necessary:

  • Experience of using user interaction data such as from Google Analytics to drive UX improvement is highly advantageous but not essential
  • Experience working in an agile development environment is highly advantageous but not essential
  • Experience working in a software product development environment is preferred, ideally but not necessarily for Software as a Service.
